One of the things I have always been impressed with Norwegians is their interactions with their surrounding environment.
They’re leading the way in forward thinking with their seed vault in Svalbard, and just look at the abundance of nature in the country that is not only left alone, but revered. They’re one of the first people to incorporate animals into their church designs, and inventing new forms of transport, like skiing, that work WITH nature, not against it.
It is no big surprised, but very delightful, to see the artist of the city take over the city of Stavanger as part of their annual street art festival, NuArt, by transforming not only murals but the landscape around them.
Make sure to check it out if you’re in town!
