In a few months Norway embraces the sun, spring is in full bloom, the snow melts away, and I am headed to Norway to tackle one of the most iconic places in the world: Preikestolen or Pulpit Rock.

  • When I first saw a picture of this place I thought it was fake. For sure it was photo shopped or some idealized setting that was an impossibility. Lucky for me, my friend very kindly pointed out I was wrong and sent me the following pictures of his hike to the top last March.

  • Now picture it, if you can when the sun is out warming up your face and shining down on the fjords. Bring a little picnic (I think everything is better with food) and you’re set for the day.

  • Come check it out for yourself! The hike is very close to the lovely city of Stavanger and can be completed by all fitness levels.
  • Information specifically on the hike and trail can be found here including alternative options such as driving holidays and cruises for those who prefer a more relaxed method of appreciation.

What do you say? Are you up to it? I promise to have some new pictures up after my trip there!
